History

University Academic Service Center (UNISERV CMU)
Established in 1989, the University Academic Service Center (UNISERV CMU) aims to efficiently and effectively utilize Chiang Mai University's human resources, including faculty, academics, and experts in all fields within each faculty and institute, as well as available technology and tools. The University Academic Service Center serves as the central unit of Chiang Mai University, supporting, promoting, and coordinating academic services between academics and internal units, as well as external agencies, both public and private, to enable the university to efficiently utilize its various resources in both proactive and reactive academic service missions to the community. It also promotes and encourages collaboration in academic service activities with public and private organizations, both domestically and internationally.
On November 1, 2006, the University Academic Service Center merged with the International Academic Service Center (International Center) in accordance with the University Council Resolution No. 7/2006 of September 23, 2006. This marked a comprehensive transformation and development in all aspects of the University's administration. The Academic Service Center's Executive Committee determines policies and administrative guidelines. In accordance with the vision and mission of the Academic Services Office, which aligns with the policies, goals, and strategies of Chiang Mai University, the Director of the Academic Services Office leads the organization and ensures that the Academic Services Office successfully operates according to its objectives.

On March 6, 2008, under the Chiang Mai University Act of 2008, Chiang Mai University became a state-controlled university. The University Council issued the Chiang Mai University Announcement on the Division of Academic and Other Divisions, announced on December 30, 2008. Chiang Mai University's division consists of academic divisions, consisting of faculties and colleges offering degree programs. Other divisions have an Academic Services Office, which has the same status as a faculty. The Academic Services Office's Executive Committee establishes policies and administrative guidelines for the Academic Services Office's mission, in line with the University's policies, goals, and direction. The Director of the Academic Services Office leads the organization, working in conjunction with the Office's Executive Committee, to ensure that the Academic Services Office successfully operates in accordance with its objectives and goals.

1. Enhance academic services in all dimensions by ensuring quality and customer satisfaction for both public and private sectors, meeting international standards.
2. Provide planning, consulting, implementation, and evaluation services for events, and act as an organizer for internal and external organizations, with a socially responsible and environmentally friendly approach, focusing on carbon neutrality.
3. To be a leader in the MICE industry in Chiang Mai Province. and meeting room services that meet national event venue standards.

1.2 To produce the university's USR journal for faculty and staff to publish their work.
1.3 To foster collaboration with the private sector in implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
2. To achieve self-sufficient management.
2.1 To collaborate with public and private agencies to generate revenue.
2.2 To support the provision of meeting room accommodations in accordance with university policy.
